About Me
Hi, I'm Avery. Welcome to the Project Accessible Art blog. I'm so glad you found me! I'm a high school student who loves learning about and creating art, listening to live music, reading historical fiction and fantasy novels, and running with my cross-country team.

I love the feeling of freedom I experience when I’m in a creative flow. There is something therapeutic about getting lost in a project and letting my imagination take over. A few years ago I started meeting with elementary students with special needs to help them nurture their inner artist and find their own sense of flow. Meeting with the children each week and sharing their creative energy has been an incredible learning experience for me. I have consistently witnessed sparks of empowerment in the children when they take initiative on their own artistic ideas, and I am inspired to to share the benefits of creative expression with as many people as possible.

I hope the projects, artists, and books I share in this blog are helpful in spreading awareness that everyone benefits from creative expression, especially children who don't communicate easily in traditional ways.
